Providing basic furniture items for those in need in Owatonna and Steele County.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our normal hours of operation and standard operating procedures have been modified somewhat. Please submit your inquiries by using the "Contact Us" page on this website; we will try to respond within 48 hours of your submission. Thanks for your consideration and patience.
Who We Are
Operating under the auspices of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP), Furnishing Hope is a non-profit organization formed to help neighbors in need to furnish their homes.
We maintain a warehouse stocked with gently-used, donated furniture. Our all-volunteer staff welcomes clients and patrons to our warehouse during limited hours and by appointment only.
How Can You Help?
Furnishing Hope relies solely on donations of furniture, money, and volunteer time. Please consider supporting the organization by:
Donating gently-used furniture
Volunteering to pick-up or deliver furniture
Volunteering to help in the furniture warehouse
Making a financial contribution
Who We Serve
We serve Steele county residents who, due to limited financial means, are unable to afford items such as beds, dressers, sofas, and kitchen tables.
Our clients have been identified by social service agencies, charitable organizations, and/or the St. Vincent de Paul Society as residents who, without outside assistance, may not ever have basic furnishing for their homes.
