Providing basic furniture items for those in need in Owatonna and Steele County.
Who We Are
Operating under the auspices of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP), Furnishing Hope is a non-profit organization formed to help neighbors in need to furnish their homes.

We maintain a warehouse stocked with gently-used, donated furniture. Our all-volunteer staff welcomes clients and patrons to our warehouse during limited hours and by appointment only.
How Can You Help?
Furnishing Hope relies solely on donations of furniture, money, and volunteer time. Please consider supporting the organization by:
-
Donating gently-used furniture
-
Volunteering to pick-up or deliver furniture
-
Volunteering to help in the furniture warehouse
-
Making a financial contribution
Who We Serve
We serve Steele county residents who, due to limited financial means, are unable to afford items such as beds, dressers, sofas, and kitchen tables.

Our clients have been identified by social service agencies, charitable organizations, and/or the St. Vincent de Paul Society as residents who, without outside assistance, may not ever have basic furnishing for their homes.
Fee Structure
Donors – Contact Furnishing Hope to set up an appointment to drop off your donation at no charge. If you are unable to bring your items to Furnishing Hope, schedule a pickup. We offer a fee-based pickup service.

Clients – The furniture selected during your shopping appointment is free. Furnishing Hope, however, has a modest appointment fee. You may pick up and transport your selected items for no additional charge. If you are unable to transport your selected items, we do offer a fee based delivery service. Please talk with your case manager about ways they may be able to assist you with the fees.
